PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion device and a positioning method in particular applied to a test unit, positioning an object so as to perform control menu-assisted by a motion parameter continuously adjustable when assuring accuracy required for positioning. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a device and a method for positioning an object in which a drive means of the motion device is controlled. For this, a visual joy stick is operated, and an actuator at least linearly movable by a display of a control unit of the motion device thereby is moved to a position where the motion direction attainable by the drive means is shown in symbolic form.
