PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool capable of cutting efficiently and smoothly disposing chips produced during cutting. SOLUTION: This cutting tool 10 is provided with a shank part 11 fixed on a tool mounting base 40, a thin plate-like supporter part 12 formed at a tip of the shank part 11 by protruding, a blade part 13 provided at a tip of the supporter part 12 for cutting, and a chip breaker 14 provided on a cutting face 23 of the blade part 13. This cutting tool 10 is provided with the blade part 13 in such a way that the cutting face 23 is inclined to retreat gradually as approaching a rear end side, and a smooth concave face being continuous with the cutting face 23 is provided in at least the chip breaker 14 and the supporter part 12.
