PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting method, in which ultrasonic vibration is applied to molten metal for an ultrashort time in comparison with the conventional method, so as to cause nucleation continuously and make solidified crystal structure minute, and a casting machine to be used in the casting method. SOLUTION: In the casting method, the solidified crystal structure is made minute by applying ultrasonic vibration to the molten metal in a temperature range including the liquidus temperature.
