PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: in cold districts, many houses are built using siding boards, but many of the boards become wavy, the heads of pressure nails appear, and joint caulking material is crazed in several years, and in especially low temperature districts, the boards are broken, and coating films are scaled and removed to cause so-called frost damage, which shortens the life cycle of a house, and presents a serious problem especially to a family who thinks their house is a retirement home. SOLUTION: All of damaged siding boards are removed on site, and recyclable siding boards are sorted for recycling. Subsequently the back and edges of a siding board to be pasted are coated according to the following procedure, (1) a solvent-based permeable water-repellent material is applied, and (2) a solvent-based enamel paint is applied. Then the coated board is nailed to a house again to complete the operation. If necessary, an exterior surface may be also coated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
