PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a grinding segment member with a grinding surface can be attached to and detached from a grinding roll. SOLUTION: This grinding roll has a base roll 12 and a plurality of the grinding segment members 20 with an identical width in the peripheral direction of a grinding surface. In addition, the segment members 20 are detachably mounted on the base roll 12, and the base roll 12 and the segment members 20 are connected with each other through a common key 30 to be inserted into key grooves 12a and 20a. The drive force of the base roll 12 is transmitted to the grinding segment members 20 through the key 30, and the base roll 12 and the grinding segment members 20 are detachably connected with each other by a bolt B.
