EOG RECOGNITION USING APPLIANCE CONTROLLING SYSTEM FOR A PATIENT WHO HAS A PROBLEM IN USING HANDS AND FEET

A device control system using electroculogram is provided to enable a user to control different devices except image display devices such as TV by using movement of the pupil. A device control system using electroculogram for a hand-and-food disabled patient comprises the followings: a camera part(10) which receives an external image; a marker learning part(33) which learns a method of classifying markers and unmarkers on the basis of previously prepared a marker and an unmarker and automatically extracts the markers and unmarkers from an image inputted from a camera to learn the extracted results; a marker detection unit(30) which detects a plurality of markers including the control operation for devices which can be controlled by using the marker learning part from the external image inputted by the camera part; a see-through display unit(50) which displays the detected markers; an electrooculogram(EOG) sensing part(70) which detects movement of the pupil on the basis of the displayed markers; a marker recognition part which recognizes kinds of the markers detected from the marker detection unit by the detected movement of the pupil; a control instruction transmitting part(100) which transmits a control instruction for performing an operation corresponding to the recognized marker; and a controller(130) which controls a corresponding device after receiving the control instruction.
