<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type water heater capable of acquiring outside air temperature information, even if electric power of a heat pump unit is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: This heat pump type water heater is composed of a heat pump unit having a refrigerating cycle, an outside air temperature detecting means for detecting the outside air temperature and a first electronic control device for controlling the refrigerating cycle, and a hot water storage tank unit having a hot water storage tank for storing hot water, a water pump for sending hot and cold water existing in a lower part of the hot water storage tank to a hot water supply heat exchanger and a second electronic control device for controlling the water pump and the refrigerating cycle. A power source of the heat pump unit is supplied via the hot water storage tank unit. The outside air temperature just after supplying the power source to the heat pump unit, is stored by the second electronic control device. Standby electric power can be reduced by stopping driving of the refrigerating cycle by estimating the outside air temperature by the second electronic control device after cutting off the power source to the heat pump unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
