<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for modifying a cooling hole in a combustion liner to prevent cracking. <P>SOLUTION: This modification system makes a mounting device 10 using a material which reacts neither chemically nor electrically or affects the combustion liner requiring modification, forms the bottom face of the mounting device 10 to follow the outer shape of the combustion liner, and places a cooling hole portion 30 on the mounting device 10 in accordance with a designed correct position of the cooling hole. The completed mounting device 10 is placed correctly on the combustion liner requiring modification and the combustion liner is drilled in the cooling hole portion 30 of the mounting device 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
