PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit illegal use of a transaction card, without imposing an excessive burden on a customer. SOLUTION: A controller displays a message requesting an input of information other than a password, to a guidance display part, when a transaction is not carried out for a preset transaction period or more, referring to a transaction history based on an account number read via a card reading mechanism. The automatic teller machines 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b are provided with the card reading mechanism for reading a transaction card, a paper currency receipt and payment mechanism, the guidance display part for displaying an operation guide when receiving and dispensing money, a customer operation part for receiving an operation of the customer according to the operation guide, a communication device connected to a host device 10 via a communication line, and the controller for controlling the whole device, and for starting the transaction by inputting the password in the transaction.
