PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly use contents by using face data. SOLUTION: When an image including a subject is input, an imaging device 100 detects a face of the subject included in the image and generates the face data related to the face based on the detected face. Simultaneously, the imaging device 100 generates face data management information for managing the face data and performs control for associating the input image, the generated face data and the face data management information mutually and storing them in a predetermined storage means. The face data contains a plurality of component information stored in a predetermined storage order. The face data management information has a data structure responsive to the storage order of the component information of the face data and provided with a consecutively assigned bit string, and predetermined flags are assigned to the respective component information according to the storage order.
