PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of highly accurately controlling the aperture diameter of a diaphragm. SOLUTION: A diaphragm member through which object light made incident passes and which has a plurality of diaphragm blades has detection apertures mutually superposed over the plurality of diaphragm blades when a specified aperture diameter in the middle between the minimum aperture diameter and the maximum aperture diameter of the aperture formed by the diaphragm member is formed by the diaphragm member at a position different from the aperture formed by the diaphragm member having the plurality of diaphragm blades.
