PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process which avoids drawbacks of prior arts and gives an organopolysiloxane having low and fixed residual volatility, a fixed desired viscosity and a fixed statistical distribution in a polymer of siloxane units having an amino alkyl group. SOLUTION: The process is to produce an organopolysiloxane having an aminoalkyl group, which comprises allowing an organopolysiloxane to react with an aminoalkyl silane or a hydrolyzate thereof in the presence of a basic catalyst and a chain terminating reagent and subsequently neutralizing the basic catalyst (C) used, in which compounds (A), (B) and (D) are reacted continuously in the presence of the catalyst (C) in a reaction chamber having a ratio of the length to the diameter of≥4.
