PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrenic resin extruded foam having an excellent heat insulating performance and an appropriate compression strength for construction materials and industrial materials. SOLUTION: The styrenic resin extruded foam having an excellent heat insulating performance and an appropriate compression strength for construction materials and industrial materials can be obtained by making a cell structure having a specific average cell diameter in three directions and a specific cell anisotropy ratio in the thickness direction with the use of a blowing agent comprising a 3-5C saturated hydrocarbon and an alkyl chloride.
