PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cartridge easily removing foreign matter from a fluid containing the foreign matter without raising an operation pressure of filtration. SOLUTION: The filter cartridge is provided with a filter pack 10 formed into pleats, the filter pack 10 has a plurality of filter medium layers having different pore sizes, at least one filter medium is hydrophilic, and the hydrophilic filter medium has asymmetric structure.
