CONNECTOR FOR CCFL, CCFL WITH CONNECTOR AND SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE

A connector for a discharge tube, a connector attached discharge tube and a surface light source device are provided to suppress stress from being applied to a lead of the discharge tube. A box body(1) of metal is attached to an outer circumference of a glass tube(21) comprising a discharge tube(20). A protrusion unit(3) of metal stripe type is extracted from the box body. The box body is connected with the metal lead(22) protruded from the end of the glass tube through the protrusion unit. When the box body is connected with the end of the glass tube, a portion of the box body protruded toward the inside of box body radius direction is contacted with an outer circumference of the glass tube. Therefore, a gap is formed between the box body and the glass tube.
