<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst structure enhancing the performance of the catalyst, a catalyst composition for formation of the structure, and a method of manufacturing the structure. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst structure 1 consists of a substrate 10 and a catalyst layer 20 formed on the surface of the substrate 10 as shown in Fig.(a). The catalyst layer 20 contains at least a catalyst, a support supporting the catalyst and a binder and optionally one or more of conductive agents, antibacterial agents and slurry stabilizers. Containing a catalyst-supporting support in the catalyst layer, the catalyst structure has an increased contact area which allows the catalyst to come in contact with a gas and can thereby enhance the performance of the catalyst even when the substrate has a small specific surface area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
