<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a font data management device, capable of using a storage area for storing font data without waste so that further more font data can be easily used. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of image forming devices stores and manages font data as a group. In each image forming apparatus, when the free space of a font data storage part 11 is too small to register new font data, space font data stored also in the other image forming apparatus is deleted, or font data stored in the own device is moved to the other image forming apparatus to thereby ensure the free space. Even if the font data is deleted or moved, the font data not stored in the font data storage part 11 can be duplicated or moved from the other image forming apparatus and used without needing registration operation of font data by a user.
