WIDE-ANGLE LENS AND IMAGE CAPTURING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-angle lens which is reduced in number of constituting lenses, compact and configured inexpensively without using a cemented lens.

SOLUTION: The wide-angle lens includes front groups L1 to L3 and a rear group L4 that are arranged in order from an object side to an image side with an aperture I being arranged between the front groups and the rear group. An image forming system comprises four independent lenses as a whole, the front groups L1 to L3 have negative, negative and positive powers respectively and the rear group L4 has a positive power. One face of the second lens L2 of the front groups that is arranged second in order from the object side and has a negative power is an aspheric surface. An image capturing apparatus has the wide-angle lens having an angle of view greater than 180 degrees and an electronic means performing aberration correction with respect to the image of the wide-angle lens.
