<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to suitably give information showing the kinds of recording materials to a post processor, thereby suppress deterioration in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured to adjust timing to convey the image-formed recording material to the post processor. Concretely, the image forming apparatus is configured to set the longest arrival interval time in the post processing performed by the post processor in such the case that the type of the recording material is not clear. Further, the image forming apparatus is configured to suitably give the information showing the type of the recording material to the post processor at timing when the type of the recording material is discriminated during the image forming operation, then, to acquire the arrival interval time corresponding to the type of the recording material from the post processor. Consequently, the image forming apparatus is configured to set an optimum start time to form an image related to respective kinds of recording materials in the printing job, then, suppress the deterioration in productivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
