<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the luminance of display illumination apparatus high without spoiling a sequence period of a light bulb. <P>SOLUTION: A mirror wheel 41 rotates synchronously in the cycle of a video synchronizing signal, and a light source 51 emits respective color light in order of red (R), blue (B) and green (G) over a period that is a half of a rotation cycle, and a light source 53 emits respective color light in order of red, blue and green over a period that is a remaining half. In a period centering light emission switching timing of the light source 51 and the light source 53, a dichroic mirror 46 which reflects the green light and transmits the red light is disposed when the light source 51 emits the green light and the light source 53 emits the red light, and a dichroic mirror 45 which reflects the red light and transmits the green light is disposed when the light source 51 emits the red light and the light source 53 emits the green light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
