<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform LCA assessment reflecting the risk of an outflow of a toxic substance from a product if it causes an accident. <P>SOLUTION: This environmental impact assessment device 100 has: a risk coefficient storage part 101 previously associating and storing product data, user data, and a risk coefficient; a design information storage part 102 storing design information including toxic substance data used in the product and use amount data of the toxic substance in each piece of the product data; a failure information storage part 103 storing outflow probability of the outflow of the toxic substance used in the product when the accident occurs in the product associatively with the toxic substance data; an LCA assessment information storage part 104 associating and storing an outflow amount of the toxic substance and LCA assessment information; a failure progress rate calculation part 115 calculating a failure progress rate from the risk coefficient and the outflow probability; an outflow amount calculation part 116 calculating the outflow amount of the toxic substance based on the use amount data and the failure progress rate; and an output part 118 outputting the LCA assessment information based on the calculated outflow amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
