PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve capable of connecting high-pressure and low pressure pipes from an engine room without bending them by freely changing its mounting direction to an evaporator by being connected with the evaporator with a double pipe structure. SOLUTION: In a body 16, a low-pressure refrigerant outlet 27 connected with an refrigerant inlet pipe 12 of the evaporator 11 and a return low-pressure refrigerant inlet 28 connected with a refrigerant outlet pipe 13 have roughly coaxial double pipe structures. Since the body 16 can be rotated on concentric axes of the low-pressure refrigerant outlet 27 and the return low-pressure refrigerant inlet 28, before the refrigerant inlet pipe 12 of the evaporator 11 and the refrigerant outlet pipe 13 of the evaporator are connected, directions of the high-pressure refrigerant inlet 31 and the return low-pressure refrigerant outlet 32 connecting the high-pressure pipe 33 and the return low-pressure pipe 35 can be freely changed.
