PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the compressing efficiency of a scroll type compressor 1 while stabilizing the revolving operation of a movable scroll 26 by making the pushing force of the movable scroll 26 against a fixed scroll 22 correspond to fluctuations of upsetting moment along with the revolution of the movable scroll 26. SOLUTION: An adjusting mechanism 56 changes the push-back force of the movable scroll 26 to reduce the upsetting moment in a revolving angle region where the upsetting moment operating on the movable scroll 26 is a predetermined value or greater during the revolution of the movable scroll 26.
