PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal member repair method capable of satisfactorily repairing a metal member having a defect at a surface, and to provide a metal defect repair device. SOLUTION: The method for repairing a metal member B having a defect K at a surface Bs comprises: a first stage where a part of the surface Bs is dug so as to include the defect K; a second stage where metal material powder A is jetted to the dug part H from a nozzle 11N at a supersonic speed, so as to be deposited; and a third stage where a metal film R deposited at the dug part H is worked, and is formed, so as to be a prescribed shape.
