PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically remove the residual rubber on the tooth bottoms of a rubber discharging gear pump. SOLUTION: This apparatus for removing the residual rubber on the tooth bottoms of the rubber discharging gear pump includes a grasping head 50 equipped with revolving pawls 63a and 63b for grasping the residual rubber, a first piston mechanism 30 for supporting the grasping head 50 so as to freely advance and retract the same with respect to the gear of the gear pump and a rotary drive mechanism 60 for revolving the revolving pawls 63a and 63b to open and close them. The rotary drive mechanism 60 is driven by a second piston mechanism 57 to drive the revolving pawls 63a and 63b so as to revolve them. After the first piston mechanism 30 is positionally aligned with the residual rubber on the tooth bottoms of the gear of the gear pump, the grasping head 50 is advanced toward the residual rubber of the gear pump and the residual rubber G on the tooth bottoms are grasped by the revolving pawls 63a and 63b to be drawn out away.
