PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To motivate a player to participate in a game by changing the number of variable display parts in accordance with a situation changing as the player performs input operation and changing the kind of winning role in accordance with the number of variable display parts. SOLUTION: The game apparatus 1 is provided with a slot device 26 which performs a lottery by using many files of variable display parts and sets a winning role by a combination of symbols provided for the respective files of the variable display parts. The slot device 26 is display controlled so that the lottery is started and patterns in the variable display parts change when a slot game event is performed. The slot device 26 stops the variable display parts by operation with respect to a button 15 by the player and determines a complete combination of symbols at a prescribed stop position. The slot device 26 determines a valid file out of the plurality of files of the variable display parts on the basis of the combination of patterns and determines a winning role according to the combination of symbols of the variable display part whose file has been determined to be valid.
