<p>Rust inhibiting rinsing bath in phosphating process for steel Method of phosphating iron or steel comprising pickling in HCl or H2SO4, several rinses and phosphating by the normal film-forming method pref. using zinc phosphate, wherein at the stage of rinsing before phosphating an aqs. soln. contg. triethanolamine and nitrilotriacetate is used at pH 7.5-11. The addition to the rinsing water inhibits rust formation during the waiting period prior to phosphating.</p> |
