In one embodiment, a method of providing a location based service (LBS), comprises; receiving location information by one or more software programs from a plurality of wireless devices belonging to a plurality of subscribers of one or more location based services; processing the location information, by one or more software programs, to identify specific activities of subscribers at merchant locations from a plurality of predefined set of activities; storing identified activities in a respective activity log for each of the plurality of subscribers; comparing ad parameters against subscriber data, including data stored in the activity logs, to select ads for communication to subscribers, wherein the comparing differentiates in selection of ads for communication to subscribers by determining whether respective subscribers have already completed one or more activities as identified in the respective subscribers' activity logs; and communicating selected ads to wireless devices of the subscribers. |
