A fluid bearing device which can exhibit a high bearing performance and can be manufactured at low cost. A housing (7) is injection-molded in such a state that a bearing sleeve (8) is inserted in the housing. Therefore, molding of the housing (7) and assembling of the housing (7) and the bearing sleeve (8) can be performed in one process. The fixing of the housing (7) to the bearing sleeve (8) can be easily and accurately performed by merely increasing the accuracy of a mold. Since both ends of the housing (7) are opened, the bearing sleeve (8) can be held from the axial both ends when the positioning of the bearing sleeve (8) in the mold is performed. Consequently, the positioning of the bearing sleeve can be surely attained. |
