A manufacturing method of the cigarette filter is provided to manufacture the hygienic cigarette filter which contributes to the health of the smoker who is unable to stop smoking. A manufacturing method of the cigarette filter processed as the water-soluble chitosan as follows. Chitosan is put into water of 40-50 deg.C 10-100 times amount as much as chitosan and is expanded. The chitosan solution is prepared by mixing the lactic acid, the hydrochloric acid, the acetic acid and so on and stirring them. The water soluble chitosan powder is prepared in which the deacetylation degree is 60-90% and average molecular weight is 10,000-500,000. The cigarette filter is prepared by adding the water soluble chitosan powder of 0.01-10% of cellulose fiber weight to the cellulose filter of tobacco.
