<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which can read or write information in a stable quality on any recording layer in the optical pickup device compatible with a multilayer optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup device 4 is equipped with: a light source 21; an objective lens 27 which condenses a laser beam emitted from a light source 21 on a recording surface of an optical disk 20; a collimator lens 23 which is arranged between the light source 21 and the objective lens 27, and its location can be prepared movably in the direction of optical axis, and performs compensation of spherical aberration by moving the location of the collimator lens 23. Further a liquid crystal element 26 which varies the range which changes the intensity of laser beam entered to the objective lens 27 and performs adjustment of RIM intensity according to the location of the collimator lens 23 is prepared between the light source 21 and the objective lens 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
