<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular body for a refill on which a writing distal end section can be fitted without adjusting the direction of the tubular body, and at the same time, which can easily be manufactured at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This tubular body for the refill has a description surface at least at two locations on the surface of the outer peripheral surface. On at least one description surface, a description surface in a first direction to the longitudinal direction of the tubular body is constituted.
