PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously producing an alcohol in which high ethanol production can be kept by specifying most suitable relationship between ethanol productivity and dilution ratio of AM12 bacterium. SOLUTION: The method for continuously producing an alcohol, by which an alcohol is produced by causing a forcible liquid flow to occur in a lower side of a fermentation tank when alcohol fermentation is performed by supplying alcohol raw materials to the fermentation tank in the presence of yeast having coagulation and sedimentation properties in the fermentation tank, is characterized in that dilution ratio D(h<SP>-1</SP>) is represented by the formula 0<D≤0.3 and ethanol productivity J (g/L h) is represented by the formula J=aD [wherein (a) is a coefficient and (a) satisfies the formula 82≤a≤108].
