PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing costs more than conventional ones, in a configuration in which the positions of a transfer belt and attraction roller are changed according to whether the apparatus is in a color mode or monochrome mode. SOLUTION: A swing frame 55 is supported such that an auxiliary roller 15 is supported on a body frame 50 so as to freely swing around a support shaft. An attraction roller 24 is supported by the swing frame 241, and the swing frame 241 is supported by the body frame 50 so as to freely swing. When a motor 61 is driven upon switching from the color mode to monochrome mode, the swing frame 241 swings in E direction by the driving force. The arms 2411 and 2412 of the swing frame 241 come into contact with the bent pieces 532 and 542 of the swing arm 55. Consequently, the swing frame 241 presses the swing frame 55. With the attraction roller 24 kept in contact with the transfer belt 11, the swing frame 55 swings in the E direction together with the swing frame 241 against the pressing forces of compression springs 57 and 58.
