PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To tap off motive power so that the motive power is divided over various rotary spools of a multi-spool turbine engine, as required. SOLUTION: This device for generating electric power in the multi-spool gas turbine engine to drive an electric machine 10 comprises at least one first rotary spool 69 such as a low pressure pool, and a second rotary spool 24 such as a high pressure spool. In the device, the electric machine 10 is of a twin rotor type having a first rotor 13 and a second rotor 14.
