摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a discharge quantity of an unburnt fuel component in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: An execution frequency of sub-fuel injection is changed based on an operation area in which an operation state of the internal combustion engine resides so as to increase the execution frequency of the sub-fuel injection, as an engine load of the internal combustion engine reduces and as an engine speed of the interval combustion engine reduces. The operation area being many in the execution frequency of the sub-fuel injection is expanded to the high load side and the high rotation side, as atmospheric pressure becomes low, or as the cooling water temperature of the internal combustion engine becomes low and as the intake temperature of the internal combustion engine becomes low.
