PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dispersing the short fibers into rubber by improving the dispersibility when mixing the cotton short fibers such as denim fibers or canvas in which the fibers are entangled complicatedly into a rubber composition, and to provide a short fiber-blended rubber composition. SOLUTION: This method for dispersing the cotton short fibers into the rubber composition is provided by blending and dispersing the fibers obtained by putting the fibers at least containing the cotton short fibers into a dispersing liquid containing 0.5-15 wt.% surfactant in water, agitating, then dehydrating and drying.
