PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing silver powder containing halogen capable of easily and inexpensively manufacturing the above silver powder. SOLUTION: A reducing agent such as formaldehyde, is added to an aqueous solution containing a silver ion such as an aqueous silver nitrate solution, and thereafter, an alkali, such as sodium hydroxide, is added thereto, and a halide such as chloride is added thereto during the addition of the alkali to produce the silver particles containing halogen to thereby obtain the silver powder containing halogen. Also, a dispersant such as gelatin, and a defoaming agent are added to the aqueous solution containing the silver ion before adding the alkali. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
