PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact sheet post-processing device capable of discharging a sheet bundle post-processed at a position where sheets are aligned and stacked, with a good aligning property. SOLUTION: The sheet post-processing device comprises a stacking tray aligning and stacking sheets successively carried, a post-processing means performing post-processing such as binding processing on the sheet bundle stacked on the stacking tray, and a gripping means gripping the sheet bundle subjected to the post-processing and discharging that onto a paper discharging tray. The post-processing means is supported so as to reciprocate in a direction generally orthogonal to the discharging direction to the paper discharging tray by the gripping means along the stacking tray. The gripping means has a grip portion gripping the sheet bundle, a guide portion provided on the stacking tray and guiding the gripping portion so as to reciprocate in a fore-and-aft side of the paper discharging direction. The grip portion is supported so as to separate from the guide portion with the movement of the post-processing means and move in a direction generally orthogonal to the discharging direction.
