PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass storage case which prevents damage to stored glass, and facilitates a glass storage operation. SOLUTION: This glass storage case 1 comprises: a top surface-opened type case body 2 for housing the glass A which is formed by assembling a sheet material; a first holding surface 31 which faces the opening end A1 of the glass-to-be-stored by bending the first holding surface 31 continuously provided at one edge of the top-surface opening of the case body at the one end; a second holding surface 32 which faces the opening end of the glass by bending the second holding surface 32 continuously provided at the other edge facing one end of the top-surface opening of the case body at the other end; and a buffer piece which is formed by bending the buffer piece 5 continuously provided at opposed edges of the first and second holding surfaces in the bent state of the first and second holding surfaces in such a chevron shape as to protrude into the case body. At least a part of both side edges of the buffer piece is brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface A2 of the glass to be stored, and an insertion opening 7 which allows the insertion/extraction of a part of an article B is formed in the in-plane portion of the buffer piece.
