PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of noise while attaining enhancement of sealing property by reducing intrusion of sludge to the inside of an annular support member for supporting a shaft-like inner in a propeller shaft for an automobile. SOLUTION: In the propeller shaft 10 for the automobile, a cover 91 is provided on an outer end 50A of the annular support member 50 and is extended from the outer end 50A of the annular support member 50 to an inner side in a radial direction, and the extension end is formed between an outer shape of a stopper means 70 and it and makes a clearance opened to an outer side in an axial direction to an entrance of a labyrinth La.
