A data playback and storing method and apparatus are provided to use storage media efficiently and improve the value of storage media by offering user specialized application in which user interaction is enhanced. A data recording method includes a step for receiving input data(211); a step for synchronizing the input data and data(221) stored in a storage medium and reproducing the synchronized data; and a step for storing the input data in the storage medium so that the input data is reproduced synchronously with the stored data based on a control signal(223) generated corresponding to the reproduction. A data recording device includes an input unit(210) receiving input data from outside; a reproducing unit(220) loading the storage medium and reproducing the stored data; and a controller(230) controlling so that the input data and the data stored in the storage medium are synchronized and reproduced by the reproducing unit.
