PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of decreasing a photographing interval unattended with complicated processing almost without constraints of a type of a recording medium to be in use. SOLUTION: An image file recorded on a recording medium (high access speed medium) having a shorter access time is saved to the other recording medium in two loaded recording media 42A, 42B, an image file obtained via a CCD 14, a CDS 16 or the like is recorded on the recording medium with the shorter access time in photographing, and the image file having been saved is returned to the high access speed medium as much as possible after the end of photographing.
