PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate confirmation of image formation and to prevent the occurrence of wasteful image forming to be formed by forming a part of a plurality of copies of an image from a terminal on an image forming medium to be formed, and subsequently forming the number of copies obtained by subtracting the part from a plurality of the copies on image forming media to be formed, when setting image formation to the residual copies. SOLUTION: A digital copying machine (PPC) 1 has a function of performing test printing in a private print mode. When the number of a plurality of copies such as ten copies, etc. is received from a personal computer(PC) 2, only one copy from among the ten copies is printed, and whether the one copy is printed as desired is confirmed by an operator by looking at it. As for the confirmation items, the position of a staple, double-face printing, a binding direction, a printing method such as 2 in 1, etc. are confirmed. When the copy is printed as desired, the remaining nine copies are printed, while when the printed copy is not printed as desired, the processing is finished without printing the remaining nine copies. |
