A method of displaying a message on a DAB radio display, the display having at least two lines each comprising a plurality of character cells, the method comprising: reading dynamic label segment (DLS) data from a received DAB radio signal; writing a portion of said DLS data one character at a time into a succession of character cells of a first, painting line of said display until said painting line is full; waiting for a line delay after said painting line is hill; scrolling a complete line of characters from said painting line to an adjacent line of said display after said line delay; clearing said painting line; and repeating said writing, waiting and scrolling to display successive portions of said received DLS data. |
