A cosmetic composition is provided to have an excellent skin-sedating effect by containing a nature active ingredient derived from saururus Herba, violet, lonicerae Flos, safflower extracts. A cosmetic composition contains an extract having a skin-sedating effect extracted from saururus Herba of 10 ~ 20 weight%, violet of 10 ~ 30 weight%, lonicerae Flos of 10 ~ 30 weight% and safflower of 10 ~ 30 weight%. The cosmetic composition additionally contains an ultraviolet B ultraviolet-absorbing agent selected from a benzophenone derivative, a para-aminobenzoic acid derivative, a cinnamic acid derivative, a salicylic acid derivative and a triazine derivative.
