An in-plane switching mode display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the brightness and viewing angle by improving the structure and shape of electrode. First electrodes(120) are mutually detached while being arranged in the pixel region for indicating image. Second electrodes(130) are arranged to each first electrodes by turns while being arranged in the pixel region is included. At least more than one of the first and the second electrodes have narrow upper plane than bottom plane. The width of the upper side of the second electrode is smaller than the width of the bottom plane of the second electrode. Therefore, the structure of the electrode of in plane switching mode display device(100) and shape are made better and the luminance generated in plane switching mode display device of image and viewing angle of image can be improved.
