BALLAST STABILIZER FOR DISCHARGE LAMP

A ballast stabilizer is provided to extend lifetime by using two igniters and a controller using a trigger signal. In a ballast stabilizer receiving a controlled current and turning a light on, a choke coil or the first igniter and second igniter is connected between a power supply unit and a lamp(160). A detection unit is connected to lamp and senses the lighting of lamp(150). A controller(140) including a photocoupler uses output signal of the detection unit as a trigger signal. A selecting unit including the first and the second switch performs an on/off operation according to the control signal of controller. A choke coil and the first igniter or the second igniter are connected to the selecting unit.
