<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type water heater capable of preventing deterioration of performance due to the defrosting operation when open air temperature is low. <P>SOLUTION: This heat pump type water heater has a heat pump cycle, which is formed of a compressor 1, a heating heat exchanger 2, a restriction part 3, a heat absorbing heat exchanger 4 and a blower fan 5 provided in the heat absorbing heat exchanger, and has a supplied water temperature detecting means 12. On the basis of an output of detection by a means 11 for detecting temperature of the heat absorbing heat exchanger, a defrosting operation existence determining means 14 provided in a control unit determines whether the defrosting operation started or not after starting the boiling operation. When the defrosting operation is performed after starting the boiling operation, the control unit controls to increase the number of revolution of the blower fan 5 provided in the heat absorbing heat exchanger to improve the ability, and deterioration of the mean ability due to the defrosting operation is thereby prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
