A tub and a drum type washing machine including the tub can prevent the contamination of laundry and odor since the drain hole is formed on the lowest portion of the connection part of the assembled tub so that the residual water does not exist after drainage. A drum type washing machine includes a washing machine housing; a tub(20) composed of a front part and a rear part assembled and provided in the housing, in which the washing water is contained; and a drain hole(26) formed close to the connection of the front part and rear part of the tub and extended through a drain passage(28) to an end side of the tub.
